ENGINEER-FACILITIES

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Organize, coordinate and manage the day to day operations of the jobsite
  • Assist and implement assignments given by the Facilities / Account Manager
  • Develop and maintain strong and supportive relationships with clients, service providers and third-parties
  • Implement management instructions for projects, services and planned maintenance
  • Working with colleagues to design new systems, circuits and devices or develop existing technology
  • Systematically improving the detailed design of a piece of electronic equipment
  • Ensuring that a product will work with devices developed by others, can be made again reliably, and will perform consistently in specified operating environments
  • May evaluate operational systems and recommend design modifications to eliminate causes of malfunctions or changes in system requirements
  • Ensuring safety regulations are met
  • Attending meetings and monitoring sub-contractors
  • Writing technical reports
  • Keeping up to date with developments in technologies and regulations
  • Perform preventative maintenance and calibration of equipment and systems
  • Submit requirements and justifications for resources such as materials, tools, equipment’s and man power.  Monitor for accuracy and variance
  • Prepare and submit quotations and estimates.  Liaise with supervisors / technicians to ensure accuracy of quotations and estimates
  • Report to manager on job progress and issues on a daily basis
  • Evaluate the performance and assist in appraisal of employees
  • Flexible to work to shift patterns as and when required.  Flexible availability for 24/7 rostered standby duties and emergency call outs
  • Perform the clerical duties as required by the job
  • Carry out to the best of your ability, any task given to you by management
  • Comply with all processes and procedures (Human Resources, HSEQ, Finance, Information Technology, Procurement, Operations) which include compliance with all applicable rules and regulations of the local labor lawQUALIFICATIONS:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering
    • 5-8 years of experience working in hotels / hospitality in a similar role
    • 3-4 Years working experience in 5 star hotels
